There’s something extraordinary that happens when women come together in sacred space—a feeling of connection, empowerment, and renewal that lingers long after the moment ends. Our first Sacred Adornment & Healing Retreat was just that: pure magic.
This all started as a dream while I was taking my Consumer Psychology course as part of my Master's program. We had all seen for ourselves on November 5th, what we would be in store for....not again....but much more heightened and evolved. I just KNEW that I would not allow my spirit that I had so lovingly and intentionally been restoring to be broken by agents of chaos. I also knew that I lived among some amazing spirits who wanted to not only protect their peace, but reclaim their power. It is LITERALLY our birth right.
I continued to nurture my idea until I crossed paths with Dr. Tonia Burgess who's IG profile had ironically been shared with me at Dr. Teah's beautiful wedding 3 nights prior!
I had first been introduced to sound bath healing last August at the Sacramento Goddess Festival and I immediately felt connected to the practice, but hadn't seen much representation in this space. I knew instantly that Dr. Tonia would be perfect for the retreat offering I was ideating. She has such a beautiful and calming energy and our desires and our visions were too aligned to be ignored. In fact, she introduced me to Aerial of Aligned Healing to offer her therapeutic massage services for the retreat.
Over the course of 4 weeks, we planned and shared our intentions and ideas for our retreat and how we wanted our attendees to feel on the eve of what would be a serious shift for this land. If you know me personally, you know I LIVE for collaboration. The way that we came together on this special event, birthed from our love of ourselves and our sisters is something that I cherish deeply. It also reconfirmed for me what WE are capable of when we are divinely in tune with ourselves and intentionally aligned with each other.
Under the powerful energy of the Waning Gibbous Moon on January 19th, we, along with 7 special souls gathered to reflect, release, and reclaim our power. From crafting personalized Sacred Adornments to receiving restorative massages, Reiki, and the transformative vibrations of the sound bath, the retreat offered a sacred pause for self-discovery and healing.
